Jackson County Mississippi Fair 2016

Fall is in the air, and its time for the Jackson County Blue Ribbon Fair 2016

This years annual event is October 16-23,  2016
The carnival rides and vendors will be setting up over the weekend of, and should be finished by Sunday evening. Throughout the week long event there will be youth events, arts and crafts, live music, dancing recitals, political campaigning, all sorts of vendors inside and out, livestock viewing, food and much more to enjoy. And its  Free Admission! free parking and supervised paid parking available.


The Food booths which consist of local churches, are always busy and selling the usual seafood/chicken gumbo, red beans, hamburgers, hot dogs, cakes, pies and ect.   Many food vendors also are scattered around the fair grounds. You can get, pizza, sausage dogs, chicken on stick, BBQ, funnel cakes, cotton candy, candy apples, popcorn, and just about anything you could want to eat..

The rides are always a favorite to the young and to those with a strong stomach. Games line the midway to add to the enjoyment and its fun for the kids trying to win the large stuffed animals. There are also toy vendors, jewelry counters, custom tee-shirts/ hats, clothing, and picture booth.



On Tuesday evening, the exhibit building opens at (5 or 6 pm) inside you can view the first, second and third place ribbons on handmade items, crafts, sewing items, knitted, crochet, needlepoint, fresh flowers, and flower arrangements, armature photography, canned foods and baked goods.





The livestock yard, also will judge animals, bulls/cows, chicken/roosters, pigs, rabbits, guineas, and occasionally some unique animals. Inside the covered livestock arena is a room where they have judged fresh fruits and vegetables.

Sunday: Set up and some rides open at 4pm
Monday: Rides and shows open at 4pm
Tuesday: Kiddie land opens at 2pm - Family night 4pm (ride prices REDUCED)
Wednesday: rides open at 4pm
Thursday: rides open at 4pm
Friday: rides open at 2pm -shows 2 pm-until ---- Children's Day rides reduced till 6pm
Saturday: rides and shows open at 11:00am
Saturday. Midnight Madness: 11:00pm till 2am  ($20.00 armband ride as much as you want)
Sunday: Rides open at 12:30  and will continue as long as their are sufficient people to ride/
    $20.00 armband   12:30pm-5:00pm
& $20..00 armband    5:30pm-9:30pm
